Community members who organized Ashland to apply for Bee City USA designation–(from left) Ellen Wright, Kristina LeFever, Karen Potts, Laura Bee Ferguson, Cara Cruikshank–wasted no time in getting their sign. That’s one Bee City USA requirement. Two others are having a standing committee to address pollinator issues and posting the city’s pollinator activities on a webpage.  Ashland quickly took care of those requirements as well using the webpage to invite Ashland’s citizens to voice their ideas for helping pollinators to the committee and to get involved in celebrating National Pollinator Week in June.
